Chief Marketing Officer
Marc Rutzen is the Chief Marketing Officer at Fortress. In this role, he oversees the company’s overall marketing, advertising and sales strategy, as well as the structural development of the marketing department. With Fortress since September 2022, Marc says he most enjoys the people and culture of the company.
Marc has more than a decade of experience in the industry, specifically spending time in real estate development and brokerage prior to launching Enodo — a predictive analytics startup that projected the impact of value-add renovations on rent, expenses, and investment performance in multifamily assets. When Walker & Dunlop acquired Enodo in 2019, Marc joined their team, serving as Senior Vice President of Information Technology before moving up to the role of Chief Product Officer.
Marc holds a Master of Science in Real Estate Development from Columbia University and is a licensed Managing Real Estate Broker in the state of Illinois.
Outside of work, Marc likes to take time to run, read, and play with his children.
