Founder and CEO
Kerri Davis, the driving force behind Fortress, is passionate about three things: (1) amazing people, (2) getting things done, and (3) creating success. These passions stem from specific points in her career:
1. Her time in the military and with the Department of State taught her to keep things simple, and that one driven focused person could easily do the work of four, if given the right tools.2. Obtaining her Bachelor’s degree in accounting and her Juris Doctorate, she leveraged technology (she’s still a huge Excel nerd) to get a lot of shit done in a very short amount of time.
3. In 2013, she joined a real estate firm where she became fascinated with the concept of housing as a right, and how combining the right people, excellent technology, and the passion to get shit done could transform a very difficult industry - Property Management - into one of excitement, excellence, energy, and ultimately success.
Kerri served as the COO and President of Elmington Property Management as it grew from 5,000 units to 30,000 units in just five years and experienced the difficulties of property management first hand. It was from here that she combined her passions to start Fortress, a revolutionary software company redefining the future of property management. Kerri now leads Fortress as it’s CEO, though she would better describe her focus as being the Chief Vision Officer and Chief Supporter to her incredible executive team. She pushes the team to solve internal problems with extreme passion, transparency, efficiency and simplicity, and to do the same for Fortress’s clients and business partners.
When she's not busy shaping the future of property management, Kerri is loving life in Nashville with her husband and two boys - being a soccer mom, playing HotWheels, and meditating.
