The goal of Fortress is to redefine property management by making software that is comprehensive, easy to use, and transparent — for all stakeholders. To accomplish this, we rely on robust APIs and integrations from powerful partners. Charting a new course for the future of PropTech is no easy feat, so we strategically select each partner in order to give our clients the best possible service and outcomes.
Domuso
Accepting payments is a big undertaking, and that’s why we brought in Domuso, which specializes in providing property managers and owners with automated payment processing and resident communication. Applicant and resident payments made through the Fortress Portal are processed through Domuso. Additionally, leasing office payments that are posted in Fortress, scanned via a scanner, or made with a smart device are also processed using Domuso’s all-inclusive payment technology. With this integration, our clients can rest assured that their payments are received intact and on time.
TransUnion
In our corner for everything related to applicant screening is TransUnion — a global information and insights company that fosters trust between businesses and consumers by ensuring that each consumer is reliably represented in the marketplace. Each and every applicant input into the Fortress system is submitted to TransUnion for credit and criminal screening. From there, recommendations are given based on the stipulations each organization sets up with TransUnion during implementation. This integration results in attaining more qualified renters — potentially saving time and money for each property.
Sage
Sage is the market leader for integrated accounting, payroll, and payment systems that is helping take Fortress’ accounting capabilities to the next level. Their premier product, Sage Intacct is the first and only preferred provider of the AICPA, providing multi-dimensional analysis abilities, and helping organizations gain deep operational and financial insight while slimming down their chart of accounts by up to 99%. In Fortress, receivables, deposits, and other transactions affecting financial reporting are sent to Sage Intacct daily or monthly, depending on preference. Likewise, Sage Intacct sends income/expense data to Fortress for reporting, as we manage all applicant and resident receivables — either individually or using batch processing. G/L codes and transaction codes are set up in our platform and are aligned with what our clients set up in Sage Intacct, allowing seamless operations.
Nexus
Furthering our accounting offerings is Nexus, the most trusted automated accounts payable software for multifamily, CRE, and other types of real estate companies. In Fortress, Nexus handles the tasks related to accounts payable — including the management of invoices, payments, and procurement. Once approved, vendor invoices are sent to Sage Intacct in a smooth and balanced process. This functionality increases the streamlined, easy-to-use Fortress interface without the need for costly add-ons and upgrades.
You don’t need to spend your valuable time vetting solutions for each of your property management needs. Fortress has all the knowledge and efficiency of industry-leading partners incorporated into a holistic and intuitive platform that’s as easy to learn as it is to use.
